I have always had an impassioned relationship with the written word. Whether it is short stories, news articles, research-based pieces or books – I have tried my hand at every aspect of writing, displaying my skills to the fullest. A postgraduate in English Literature, I have been born, brought up and educated in Delhi.

Starting my career with Media Transasia, a leading publishing house, in 1995, I contributed largely to the various magazines there. After a stint of nearly two years, I shifted to the Press Trust of India, the foremost of India’s news agencies, and honed my reporting skills. My love for writing exciting features drew me to The Hindustan Times and then to the Indian Express Group, where I have written on a variety of subjects from Interiors, Real Estate, Education, Human Resources and Corporate Strategies.

I forayed into book writing four years ago with my first book ‘Living in India: Lives in Style’, a peek into 50 odd celebrity and aesthetically designed homes from across the country. Launched four years ago, the book is a sellout today. In 2011, the book has hit the market again in a reprint that sports a different look as well as a compact size.

The love for design and interiors prompted me to work on my second coffee table book, ‘Luxury Resorts and Spas of India’. An illustrated book that opens the doors of the finest hospitality establishments of the country, ‘Luxury Resorts and Spas of India’ reveals the inspiration behind each of these properties. It takes the reader through a delightful visual tour of the sumptuous interiors of their marvelous environs and exotic spas.

I have also written an insightful chapter in a book titled ‘New Princesses of Alwar’, a book profiling women scavengers from the desert state of Rajasthan.

Apart from writing, my hobbies include reading, travelling, exploring new cultures, seeing and experiencing new things in life and social networking.

An avid Facebook user, you can also connect with me on the social networking site.

Not one to become complacent, I have already started work on my third Coffee Table Book and am in the process of taking many of my ideas forward in the field of writing.

I live in New Delhi, India with my wife, Dr. Vandna and son, Rushil.

Cheerio!
